Najee Janey

Najee Janey is a singer and rapper from Roxbury who blends emotive rap with falsetto, funk, neo-soul and reggae. He sums up the sound himself: "If Biggie could sing and Prince could rap, that would be me." His catalog runs from The Purple Earth Theory and Blue Manifesto through the 2024 EP Break Free, and he's a multiple Boston Music Award nominee. Behind the scenes, he has songwriting credits on two albums by Atlantic Records R&B artist Sebastian Mikael, including the single "Time." He appears on BASICALLY MINE and MARILYN MONKROE, Vol. 1.
